RESPONSIBILITIES - Performing analytical measurements of XRD, XRF, BET, SEM, particle size measurement and thermal analysis, etc - Setting up and maintaining analytical instruments (including initial and regular qualification) - Independently lead the new method development, validation and documentation - Communicate and report analytical results in an organized, logical, and scientific manner - Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments - Comply with IP protection regulations - Create, develop, and update documents (e.g., SOPs, risk assessments and laboratory records) in alignment with site EHSQ protocols - Must always abide by the EHSQ policies REQUIREMENTS - Preferably Master or PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or Material Chemistry with several years of experience or Bachelor in Chemistry with 8+ years of experience in instrumental analytics - Practical experience in analytical methods essential - Experience with tap density, PRCD, chromatography, NMR and FTIR is preferred - Solid knowledge in XRD, XRF, BET, SEM, particle size measurement and thermal analysis, preferably knowledge in other analysis methods (tap density, PRCD, GC, HPLC, GPC, IC, ICP,NMR, FTIR, etc.) - Solid knowledge in Li-ion battery material - Good organizational skills required to react flexibly to varying assignments and different clients - Efficient use of resources (instruments, time, materials) - Decision making ability necessary on technical issues (e.g. method development) - Must have the ability to communicate fact-based data to enable appropriate decision making - Good communication skills required in dealing with colleagues, internal clients and German technical experts - Entrepreneurship and self-determination (has to establish new methods to organization, personal competencies for development) - Able to work independently, highly motivated and able to handle multiple tasks. - Good oral and written English and Chinese language skills
