Key tasks and responsibilities 1.Conducting vendor assessment and supplier surveillance audits. 2.Re- and outsourcing processes are being followed in accordance with the QMS. 3.Assisting suppliers develop and maintain Component Quality as well as Production Capacity Plans, as necessary. 4.In liaison with QM, maintenance of the Component Quality Plan Database. 5.In liaison with QM, creating and maintaining component inspection plans. 6.Raising reject notes and requesting 8D reports from the supplier. 7.Supporting supplier root cause analysis and corrective action planning, as required. 8.Verifying implementation and effectiveness of supplier correction actions. 9.Collating and evaluating supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain. 10.Acting as Senior Supplier Development Engineer when required, by leading supplier improvement activities. 11.Reporting internally on supplier quality performance and development. 12.Leading the NCR process which relates to supplier as well as the quality claims to supplier.

Key competencies 1.Leadership and Team Work skills 2.Knowledge of ISO 9001 qualification. 3.Previously worked as a QC Engineer or a Supplier Quality Engineer in the in special machinery and plant engineering. 4.Well versed in quality tools and methods, including but not limited to 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, SPC, Pareto, etc. 5.Metrology, inspection methods and equipment. 6.Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings. 7.Understanding manufacturing processes for metal works, especially turning, welding, milling as well as wet painting. 8.Planning and prioritizing activities and an ability to operate with a level of autonomy. 9.Ability to present data accurately and effectively. 10.Good communication skills, good verbal and written English. 11.Valid car driver license 12.Experience in the marine industry. 13.Knowledge of ISO14001. 14.Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt. 15.Lead Auditor Qualification. 16.Knowledge or experience of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) 17.Good verbal and written communication in English
