Position overview: As an Industrial Energy Efficiency Engineer at Terao Asia, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency projects for our industrial clients. Your expertise will be essential in identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance overall sustainability within our clients' facilities. Job responsibility: Under the responsibility of the Asia Operations Manager, the Industrial Energy Efficiency Engineer participates in TERAO projects in Asia, with a focus on industrial facilities and covers the following main tasks: 61 Energy Audits and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments of industrial facilities to identify energy-saving opportunities and potential improvements. 61 Data Analysis: Analyse energy consumption data, process data, and equipment performance to develop tailored energy efficiency solutions. 61 Recommendations: Provide clients with actionable recommendations and strategies for improving energy efficiency, including equipment upgrades, process optimization, and renewable energy integration. Project Management: Grow into a project management role, acting as the main point of contact for clients, tracking schedules and deliverables, producing or delegating as needed to get the work done, and integrating diverse knowledge to provide insightful information to clients. 61 Performance Monitoring: Implement energy monitoring systems and track the performance of implemented solutions to ensure sustained energy savings. 61 Commissioning services: Monitoring-based commissioning services requiring data visualization to spot faulty operations in HVAC operational trends 61 Client Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and serving as a trusted advisor for energy efficiency initiatives. 61 Communication: Prepare logically organized, technically accurate, and clearly presented emails, memos, and reports Requirements Qualifications 61 Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 61 2-5 years of experience in industrial energy efficiency, energy management, commissioning or related fields 61 Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other relevant certifications preferred. Skills 61 Mandarin speaker mandatory 61 Experience with ASHRAE energy audits mandatory 61 Strong knowledge of industrial processes, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, motors, fluids, heat transfer, heat recovery and energy-efficient technologies 61 Excellent project management and communication skills 61 Knowledge of energy management practices, familiarity with ISO 50001 standard Abilities 61 Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and integrate new concepts and tools 61 Strong writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, training, and analytical skills 61 Strong judgment and critical thinking to challenge assumptions and solve problems 61 Strong organizational, time and project management skills 61 Ability to travel twice a month (3/4 days) Software 61 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 61 Experience with Power BI or energy efficiency softwares is a plus
