Mission The mission of Project Manager-Screw feeder is to manage the screw feeder project from Desoutter customer center globally. You will work very closely with these entities (with a special focus on the Chinese market) and R&D design team to secure the screw feeder project. You should also cooperate closely with operation team to secure the lead time of customer project. You will play a critical role to grow and accelerate Desoutter RAPID project that is key to further strengthen Desoutter strong market position.
Major Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Together with sales engineer and customer representatives, work out technical specifications and solutions, delivery scope and plans. · Be responsible for the cost calculation and cost control of the projects. · Supervise designers, electrical engineer and sub-suppliers to make sure product or customized solution to meets the specification according to contract. · Have daily contact and follow up with suppliers and customer. · Participate closely in activities during delivery, installation and start up process. · Make sure we get the customers final acceptance according to contract and plan. · Project Schedule preparing, track, updating to related colleagues. · Set up meeting regularly with internal resource/team members to review project status, and to motivate them to finish work according to your plan. · Flag up the issue to Managers when it happens. · Communicate with Sales for marketing activities. · Visit on customers site with sales to understand different kinds of applications, understand their advantage and disadvantage. · Communicate with oversea colleagues for customer projects, to get help from R&D if necessary. · Strictly follow the safety procedures and instructions during the travel and at the workplaces in company, customers' and business partners' facility, and correctly wear Personal Protective Equipment according to instruction. Actively participate safety training, self-learning and other activities. Education & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or automation) · At least 3 years’ experience in designing, executing, and supporting mechanical solutions. · Minimum 1-3 years thorough experience of project management, preferably within industrial or automation
Knowledge & Skills · Mechanical and electrical knowledge · Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, production methods and industry trends. knowledge of automotive industry will be a plus. · Experience in tightening and spindle applications. Industrial assembly experience is a plus. · Ability to read 2D/3D drawing (mechanic and pneumatic drawing including electric engineering flow charts) · Very strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, World) · Very strong negotiation skills · English business fluency mandatory (both oral and written)
