As the LI of BIW (Body structure, Door & Lid, Functional Accessories) Development, you will be responsible for leading and developing the BIW engineering team. This role requires close collaboration with global teams & ESP suppliers to ensure efficient team operations and seamless project execution. Your primary focus will be on organizing and managing the team to conduct comprehensive development activities and tasks, ensuring technical convergence in styling and engineering, and aligning quality, cost, mass, and timing with project targets. Lead the development of the BIW engineering team, fostering close collaboration with Renault's global teams to ensure optimal team performance and efficiency. Organize and supervise the team in executing development activities and tasks, overseeing styling and engineering technical convergence, and guaranteeing alignment with project targets in terms of quality, cost, volume, and timing. Develop structural designs for the white body in accordance with project requirements, encompassing section design, math data release and freeze, EWO, and BOM management. Focus on body part forming, joining, sealing, corrosion resistance, and assembly performance. Serve as the primary owner for 2D/3D math data and BOM development, release, and freeze. Utilize vehicle overall layout, ICD, and other requirement inputs to enhance structural strength, stiffness, modal analysis, safety, and NVH performance. Implement structural optimizations based on test results and verification status tracking. Ensure body structure design adherence to vehicle safety, environmental protection, and other pertinent regulatory standards. Investigate and incorporate new materials and advanced manufacturing processes to achieve lightweight design and cost savings. Foster and develop team capabilities for sustained competitive advantage. Engage in project planning, monitor progress, and ensure timely and quality project completion.
Requirements:
Vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering and other related professional, bachelor's degree or above. More than 8 years of experience in BIW (VB) development or related field, familiar with manufacturing process, PDT and math data release process, skilled at CATIA & RVT. Fluent English as the working language. Being proactive, solution driven, forward thinking, good communication skill and teamwork. Work experience in a well-known OEM or related industry is a plus.
