61 Responsible for the overall management of the Business Development Department, including the recruitment and development of the Business Development Team members, mentoring team members, establishing the business development targets (in terms of dollar value, time to deliver and business line targets), implementing initiatives for the overall improvement of business development. 61 Directly responsible for the achievement of the business development targets and key performance indicators for the team each year, including responsibility targeting new business, managing key accounts. 61 Ensure that all local Business Development practices and procedures meet the standards established and expected of the Group, including but not limited to ensuring the CRM is properly updated and contracts are properly titled and indexed; the template commercial contract is adhered to; the commercial contract risk matrix is properly followed. 61 Directly responsible for developing an annual plan and budget for the Business Development Department in consultation with the Managing Director and the Group General Director. 61 Directly responsible for reporting to the Group Marketing Manager and Group General Director regarding all Business Development related matters including but not limited to: new business, pipeline, commercial developments and new prospects. 61 Responsible to work with relevant technical Directors pricing, tendering, proposal development, scheduling and other negotiations regarding project sales and development. 61 Responsible for ensuring efficient and well managed Business Development processes are in place that enable and facilitate the rapid agreement of commercial terms of business and signature of commercial contracts. 61 Maintain a strong network of contacts and associates within the industry and undertake all necessary socialization, meetings and event attendance to build and maintain industry connections. 61 Negotiate contracts with new and existing clients for new business, ensuring that the negotiations are favourable to Archetype Group in terms of pricing and scheduling (for example: selling where possible at a premium price and ensuring the scheduling meetings the production team requirements). 61 Manages clients to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and on time payment of commercial fees, including handling any negotiations or managing any concerns of the client that may delay payment. 61 Ensures proper communication of all necessary information is transmitted internally to the Director/Manager responsible for production in order to ensure the smooth transfer of the client to the production team (for example: by being involved in the kick off meeting to ensure production team is well briefed of client needs and expectations), as well as all appropriate support departmental managers (for example: Finance, Legal, Tendering etc).

Competencies
61 Degree qualifications in either a related technical field or Business Administration, or substantial relevant industry experience and proven track record of achieving high sales targets in a very competitive, service based environment. 61 Years of experience: Business Development Director; Minimum of 12 Years general experience and 8 years at senior management level. 61 A minimum of 5 years experience leading a Business Development team within a multinational, professional services (preferably engineering, construction) organisation. 61 Advanced time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage the time of others and to ensure efficiency of organizational processes. 61 Advanced written and spoken communication skills including advanced negotiation and persuasion skills. 61 Advanced understanding of the technical aspects, costs and scheduling of Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture and Engineering Design and Project Management in order to be able to influence and sell services to clients. 61 Advanced leadership skills with the ability to manage change with a strong results-orientation. 61 Intermediate skills in departmental budgeting and financial management. 61 Advanced written and spoken English skills are also required.
