Position Summary:
Independently develop new innovative materials for Personal Care market, align with Beauty & Personal care “go natural” strategy. Evolve as an impactful team player with good organizational citizenship and use project management skills appropriately.
Responsibility:
- EH&S: Maintain a safety mindset and focus. Learn & adhere to safe work practices in lab; Exhibit & promote pro-active safe behaviors in lab activities.
- Independently develop and optimize product formulation to help Momentive BPC grow business, by fully utilizing the company’s R&D process and system.
- Responsible for creating, design, synthesis, and development of new products for regional and global personal care market.
- Effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring clear alignment of timelines, goals and deliverables within business and market needs.
- Work collaboratively with Mkt, process, and manufacture team to execute project plans for timely positive progress – Technical problem-solving aptitude is required.
- Clearly communicate results of program activities and through written reports and presentations, including internal and external conferences & publications.
Awareness and ability to generate IP in developing new projects.

Qualification:
- Full of enthusiasm for beauty and personal care.
- Ph. D. with 1-2 years of experience Or M.S. with 3~4 years research/work experience in material chemistry or polymer chemistry or equivalent.
- Experience in handling complex polymer/organic synthesis procedures in a safe & efficient manner
- Knowledge & expertise in synthetic chemistries and standard characterization techniques (NMR, GC, GPC etc).
Strong safety ethics and knowledge/experience to safely lead lab research methods.
- Good understanding of natural and naturalized materials in personal care formulation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Expertise in patent analysis and filing, and intellectual property.

- Results oriented self-motivated individual with high level of technical curiosity.
