Key Areas of Responsibility Responsible for LED System design competence and domain roadmap management in the global HUE hardware R&D cross portfolios (Bulbs, Luminaires Strips) in line with long term business/product strategy 61 Products system development o LED Engine requirement definition, selection and releasing for Hue light applications. o Build up the LED based product system modelling to support the light product performance estimation and verification/measurement. o Define and validate the system architecture, esp. during the predevelopment stage o Shall focus on the total system design (with good combination of both hardware and software design) and optimization (top performance with right application features, lowest cost price, and world class reliability). 61 Products technical platform roadmap o Work together with other System Architects (include the research team) and portfolio owners in defining the technical building block / platform roadmap for different product lines, overarching domain innovation funnel roadmap. 61 Products system competence management o Scout, benchmark and bring new/emerging technology into our product design in order to improve the performance, lower the cost, and realize new feature/applications. o Being an active member in the system architect network within Signify to leverage necessary competence and knowledge for the new product innovation of our business. o Lead the product system competence team in the global Hue Hardware R&D. Coach and develop the system engineer to enhance the product system knowledge within the team. This Lead LED System Architect with cross portfolio scope will be in Shanghai co-located with the Bulb, Strip& String portfolio. Role is part of the global Hue Hardware R&D Cluster and reports into Hue Hardware R&D leader based out of Shanghai.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 61 More than 10 years’ experience in LED system Design from concept to mass production, and in directing projects in relevant technology area. 61 Proven experience in R&D people development, with solid experience on continually team technical competence building up. 61 Master degree or higher in engineering. With strong engineering background and working experience (Optical, Electronics…) are preferred. 61 Solid experience with external ODM or OEM supplier management and outsourced development. 61 Excellent communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of disciplines with which co-operation takes place 61 Good analytical skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Sense of urgency and high resilience level.
