About the job
As an Application and Product Specialist, you will work with DataCenters, Air Conditioning & Heating applications for our OEM customers. Developing conceptual ideas and designs for customer projects in early phases and present technical proposal to customers.
You will contribute to constantly deliver input for new product developments and be in frequent contact with our customer, travelling for face-to-face meetings with their R&D.
You will have an interesting role that will cover a lot of operational aspects, as well as strategic perspective.
You will be key person in Alfa Laval to deal with applications macro-trends in ASIA, combining them into a global view.
Key tasks:
* Customer projects=> the target is to get Alfa Laval BFB products specified in OEM customer designs. It is achieved together with Key Account Manager and Sales people within different Asian Sales Companies.
* As Market Input responsible, you will drive & coordinate all activities in development projects in close cooperation with customer and internal Alfa Laval functions (R&D and Operations). Once or twice a year, travels to Sweden and Italy facilities are required.
* *** line customer contact: Together with Key Account Managers, manage all communication back and forth with customer and internal Alfa Laval functions
* Claim: Manage the communication and decide activities relating to customer claims
What you know
You have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and preferable some years of experience in heat exchanger products and/or or applications with insight to OEM business. Fluent written and spoken English & Mandarin Chinese are mandatory. Japanese basic language is nice to have. You have a strong sense of innovation into practice. You are a curious mind, especially in front of other people interest.
