In new project development the Technical Project Manager/Leader is functional reporting to the Project Manager. The Technical Project Manager/Leader is to work with supplier, quality and functional teams and to Leading a team of engineers to develop innovative products and technical solutions with the right cost and quality in projects within New Product Development (NPD) organization of Floorcare R&D. The Technical Project Manager/Leader is also able to work on special assignments to deliver a given task when required.
A Typical Day
The Technical Project Manager/Leader role includes bringing Robotics technical specification based on consumer needs from Marketing/PTM and to combine that with the industrial design needs into a cost-efficient product easy to produce and with the right quality. To do this Technical Project Manager/Leader needs to cooperate closely with Project Manager, Quality, Tech & Lab, ID, Marketing, HW, SW and other project functions.
As a Technical Project Manager/Leader– your main responsibilities are: 61 Plan and follow up on Robotics developing activities. (Time and resource plans, product cost, action plans, system description etc.) 61 Report progress, risks and deviation from project plan to the Project Manager. 61 Assure that technically feasible, well-verified and defined solutions are chosen for the product. Selected solutions must be based on cross-functional input (SDL, Quality, HW,SW, supplier, etc.) and agreed with PM or Robotics architecture manager. 61 Assure that appropriate activities are performed according to PMF gate. 61 Lead, plan and delegate the product development work within the project team and supplier. 61 Creation of technical documentation (Team Center, 3D/2D/specifications, etc.) and make sure that these are updated and available for other functions. 61 Take part in creation system test plan made by Tech & Lab. 61 To present Technical part at Technical-Industrialization-Quality Review meeting. 61 Evaluate test results and identify, plan and implement actions to fulfill specifications. 61 Place external orders such as prototypes etc. after approval from Project Manager or concerned cost center owner. 61 Check and certify invoices. 61 Approve technical documentation and archive them in correct way. 61 Support Marketing, IDC, Production/supplier, Tech & Lab, Sourcing, Quality and other functions involved in the project with product know-how.

Experience with product developing production assessments. 8+ years Product development experience, mainly mechanical design in Robotics area General technical understanding Floor care/Robotics technical knowledge Interpersonal skills Fluent in Mandarin Fluent English skills in both spoken and written.
