Mission As a embedded system engineer for CPI Shanghai R&D team, you will be part of the global headquarter team, and part of a new product & business development that is key to further strengthens Desoutter strong market position. Your mission is to understand our customer assembly processes requirements and propose light automation solutions based on our standard offers starting with screw-feeding projects.You will design and adapt control systems mainly withPCB board.
Major Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Documenting the customer process and propose light automation solutions based on Desoutter standard products. · Designing and adapting control systems (Hardware) to match the customer process requirements. · Documenting the designed solution from circuit board design to single chip programming, set-up configuration, schematic, layout, electronic BOM, and so on. · Working proactively and closely with Mechanical Engineer, Software engineer, supplier and Lab engineer to ensure the solution complete integration. · Upload drawings, program, parameter set up into product data management system. · Strictly follow the safety procedures and instructions during the travel and at the workplaces in company, customers' and business partners' facility, and correctly wear Personal Protective Equipment according to instruction. Actively participate safety training, self-learning and other activities. Report safety risk to prevent accident.
Education & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in computer, communication, or automation engineering, master’s degree is plus. · Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in embedded motor controls design and programming. · Experience in 0-1 innovative product development. · Experience in industrial/automotive assembly.
Knowledge & Skills · Proficient in PCB layout design, manufacturing process optimization, and troubleshooting (e.g., yield improvement, equipment validation). · Skilled in circuit design tools for schematic design, simulation, and verification. · Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems with practical product control case experience. · Familiar with Python for automation scripting and test environment setup. · Mastery of industrial protocols (UART, MODBUS, CANOPEN, RS485, Profi-net, Ether-cat, etc.) for data integration and system adaptation in complex environments. · Deep understanding of servo, brushless, and stepper motor control principles, including sensor signal processing and multi-system debugging · Skilled in using MPLAB IDE and VS CODE. · Ability to diagnose circuit board issues using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, followed by hardware debugging and optimization. · Experience in mass production maintenance, including field testing and component variance analysis · Knowledge about software lifecycle and change management. · Knowledge of Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry segments is a plus. · Ability to handle multiple projects at one time. · Analytical problem-solving skills. · Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
