Objectives of the Position - According to the global business strategy, support the Key Account Management team (and Global Technical Project Manager) act as primary technical contact for customers, responsible for respective customers’ technical project management (including color development), new project launches, line trials etc. through project management, lab cost tracking and monitoring, continuous improvement efficiency in prioritization and optimization - Responsible for technology strategy implementation for respective OEM group - Gatekeeper for online trouble shooting request
Main Tasks 61 Technical project management for new product development /APQPs/ Raw Material replacement according to business strategy. 61 Closely work with color lab / customization lab, coordinate and assign resources for color development and specific projects and steer the lab activity cost. 61 Regularly monitor, track and report project status, timely check customer requirement and timeline and MOC, etc. 61 Information management on key technical information: Specifications, general line information etc. 61 Process and procedure review, push for de-bottlenecking optimization. 61 Gate keeper for APQP, lead and conduct lesson-learn discussion for efficiency improvement. 61 Execute project manager of defined technical project, innovation topics 61 Develop deep and trusting customer relationship to ensure access for all growth opportunities and new projects. 61 Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations. 61 Prepare technical documentation (APQP including line trial reports) 61 Ensure all activities to meet BASF requirement of EHS, 5S and QM. 61 Support field technical /quality topics at customer plants
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position 1. Education: Bachelor or above in chemical related 2. Working Experience: at least 5 years’ experience in Automotive Coatings industry 3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Solid automotive OEM coatings, color development processes, and applications. 4. Influence others without authority to execute customer requests and deadlines. 5. Excellent project management skills. 6. Fluent in local language and English. 7. Proved digital skills: e, g. Microsoft skills
