MERCHANDISER INDOOR FURNITURE JOB DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE
-Reporting to category manager but responsible & cooperating with other merchandisers. for China, ***, Hong Kong region.
-Ensure compliance regarding ECI and European quality standards.
-Closely monitoring suppliers on their performance.
-Weekly tracking of supplier status on all aspect of production follow up.
-Ensure and prevent on time problems in the products that can affect the safety of our consumers.
-Prevent and give support to senior merchandiser and supplier with questions about our quality standards.
-Being able to actively propose/solve solution to problems.
-Prepare reports generalizing the situations faced at the end of the season, looking forward new solutions and preventive measurements for the next season.
-Furniture experience is preferred.
KEY INDICATORS
Quantitative:
-Constantly analyse supplier performance.
-Make sure all QA reports are send on time according to process.
Qualitative:
-Strong analytical skills
-Strong in planinfication.
-Can handle a good level of stress.
-Work in a close cooperation with CM and other merchandisers/QA team to ensure the quality procedure do not delay the productions lead times.
-Support the CM for enquiries presented during the production, giving advises and possible solutions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
General definition
This position entitles somebody with:
- Good knowledge of planning and production follow up.
- Key attention to details.
- Possible travelling but not frequent.
- Strong in organisation and priority management.
- Strong attention to details.
- At least 3-5 years experience in the ‘home business (prefer furniture).
- Strong efficiency to solve problem and proactive with suppliers in all type of negotiations (price, quality, delivery, improvements to make).
- Capable of working on low/middle volume with suppliers.
- Anticipation with suppliers is a must.
