UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. We're looking for Strategy & Finance Analyst working in Purchasing Excellence & Governance team.
The role will report to Purchasing IT Manager of UD Trucks Purchasing Excellence & Governance department.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Be a member of the UD Purchasing Excellence & Governance team and contribute to department development in an active way. 2. Responsible for Purchasing Division strategy development and related activities. Coordinate within Purchasing team and between Cross Function team, to streamline UD Trucks corporate strategy to Purchasing Division strategy, investigate Purchasing business focus and roadmap, develop the strategy in mechanism way, contribute to the deployment of strategy and status/progress assessment, define countermeasure actions as needed, and regularly report to Management. 3. Lead Purchasing Division Hoshin Kanri activities, work with Purchasing team to define Hoshin and prepare status reports regularly. Perform internal and external communication towards team and supplier partners. 4. Closely work with Business Controller on Purchasing Forecast and Budget management. Lead Purchasing team on forecast data report, conduct deep dive analysis on cost status and forecast together with Business Controller, define requirements & roadmap towards process/IT system on improvement of data visualization and forecast precision; contribute to Purchasing budget preparation, operation and control. 5. Support Purchasing Division risk management activities as part of ERM. Work with Cross Function team on risk investigation, identification, mitigation roadmap development, and prepare ERM reports. 6. Lead Purchasing data analysis to meet business needs and provide insights to assist business optimization. 7. Lead some Purchasing Excellence & Governance continuous improvement activities. 8. Support Management assignments.
Minimum qualifications - University degree in Supplier Chain and/or Business Administration. - At least 5+ years’ Purchasing experience of auto industry in a global organization and intercultural context. - Deep understanding of the Purchasing business process and operation, and cost management. - Logical thinking, ability to go from the holistic view and into the details. - Good data sense and analytical skills, business acumen, agile. - Strong coordination and communication competence within Purchasing and between Cross Function Team, ability to create networks and to lead cross functional activities within multi-cultural teams. - Fluent both English and Japanese, both written and spoken. - High level of integrity and trust, strong ownership and team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives, continuous improvements mindset
