The credit risk department provides worldwide credit risk assessment for various departments of the Gerald Group. The Junior credit analyst is under the supervision of the Asia CFO who is in shanghai office, He/She should be able to work independently given the credit team is spread over the world.
The information and reports generated by the Junior credit analyst is essential to protect the company from credit risks. He/she is responsible for various credit related functions including but not limited to help the global credit team translate the basic information and collect accurate data for both KYC and Credit proposals, monitoring the compliance with the credit policy and credit limits, liaison between the local team and the global credit team, also be able to provide basic credit risk analysis support.
Main responsibilities and activities
61 Perform preliminary credit assessments, prepare credit proposal for various Chinese and international counterparts (e.g. supplier, customer, warehouse. etc.); 61 Analyze financial data and other market-related information for the credit department or other department(s) of the company for structured trade deals and/or investment; 61 Helps the global credit team assess KYC applications (and KYC renewal) of Chinese and international counterparts (e.g. supplier, customer, warehouse, shipping companies. etc.); 61 Help the global credit team analyze the credit exposures and monitor their compliance with the credit limits and/or credit policy; 61 Monitor local credit exposure and prepare the local credit exposure report to reconcile with the global team; 61 Assist with the mitigation of the credit risk (e.g. credit insurance); 61 Assist with the review and development of credit risk related policies and procedures; Key skills and experience:
61 Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or similar; 61 At least 2-3-years related working experience; 61 Knowledge of the commodity business and transactions; 61 Good analytical and organizational skills; 61 Ability to work independently and under pressure; 61 Excellent interpersonal skills; 61 Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 61 High level of attention to detail; 61 Excellent written and oral knowledge of English is essential.
