Typical responsibilities are: - Develop applied modeling and simulation approaches for elevators; leverage knowledge of transportation industry best practices - Develop data analysis and dynamic tools to achieve a suite of tools for product development engineers - Participate in product development or analysis teams to reduce product noise, vibration, or dynamics risks - Conduct experiments to measure noise and vibration including operational measurements, modal analysis, transfer path analysis, and noise/vibration source measurement - Performing root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve both system and component noise and vibration issues - Predicts effort required to simulate and support customer requests - Support testing plans, analysis, and technical risks especially related to MASC competencies
Specialized Technical Skills: - Minimum 8 years of modeling or tool developing experience - Ability to specify requirements and inputs necessary to simulate and understand technical risks and communicate with global experts - Engineering degree specializing in nonlinear dynamics, multibody dynamics, noise or vibration preferred - Proficient in engineering tool development, as well as machine learning and deep learning applications - Understanding of engineering product development processes and qualification - Knowledge of commercial vehicle designs and simulation approaches - Strong candidates have working experience with engineering software, such as Python, MATLAB/Simscape, Recurdyn (or similar commercial tool) - Ability to verify models using advanced test methods, data acquisition systems, and sensors - Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (including Excel) - Education/Certifications: Masters in Mechanical, Applied Dynamics, or Acoustics - Engineering or similar degree is required. Doctorate is preferred
