We are looking for: A hands-on and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our Polymer Characterization Lab. You will play a key role in supporting our research and development activities by performing routine and advanced laboratory work, with a strong focus on polymer analysis and characterization. This position is based in Shanghai and offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art analytical equipment in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Performing routine laboratory work, including operation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments. Performing a broad range of polymer characterization tests, including but not limited to mechanical testing (tensile, flexural, impact), rheological tests (LCR, MFR), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA, TMA, HDT), spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-vis), optical microscopy, and other relevant analytical techniques as required by project needs. Assisting with laboratory quality management activities, ideally with knowledge of ISO17025 requirements. Cooperating with colleagues to provide timely analytical and testing support to local technical customers. Presenting and documenting results to customers, preparing technical reports, examinations, and summaries. Improving and developing analytical/testing capabilities, progressing towards becoming a qualified case owner and coordinator. Being a reliable and collaborative team member, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

You will bring: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe laboratory environment. Strong interest in hands-on laboratory work and routine lab operations. Practical experience with analytical instruments for mechanical, rheological, thermal, and spectroscopic testing. Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems (ISO17025 is a plus). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve analytical issues using a combination of techniques. Experience in developing or adapting test methods to meet specific project requirements is an advantage. Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills. Reliable, collaborative, and effective team player. Using English as a working language for communication, documentation, and reporting.
