Job Purpose and Impact The Senior Analyst, Finance - Metals Middle Office optimizes and implements complex financial operations and services activities while ensuring compliance with all regulations and internal control standards. With minimal supervision, this job reviews daily transaction activities, mentoring, training and onboarding new team members. This job also leads the implementation of improvements in execution and supports key business initiatives including operational aspects of new, nonstandard and complex transactions. Key Accountabilities 61 OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE: Leads daily P&L, Valuation and Exposure reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial results. Reviews complex trade contracts to assess exposure, validate pricing policies, and ensure alignment with internal standards. Initiates and oversees operational workflows for nonstandard or complex transactions across new products and geographies. Enhances internal control frameworks by identifying operational risks and implementing preventive measures, while leveraging automation and data tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
61 CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Participates in cross-functional business initiatives and leads implementation efforts within the operations team. Focuses on delivering customer-centric solutions by integrating data-driven insights and ensuring seamless onboarding of new products and clients.
61 CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Identifies opportunities to improve systems and processes without compromising adherence to applicable policies and controls and maintains current automated systems and looks to further improve capabilities as needed to support business growth and initiatives.
61 Data Analytics & Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve systems and processes through data analysis and automation. Maintains and enhances current automated systems and develops new tools or dashboards (e.g., using Excel VBA, Power BI, or Python) to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
61 TRAINING: Assists with training and onboarding of new team members and helps to further develop the knowledge of existing team members through training and transition of new customers, products and transactions once documentation and settlement processes are established.
Qualifications Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications 61 Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline. 61 Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and business scenarios to support decision-making. 61 Proficiency in data analysis and programming tools, such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, or other scripting languages. 61 Solid understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle and middle office processes, including trade capture, P&L reporting, exposure monitoring, and settlement. 61 Detail-oriented with a strong sense of internal control and risk awareness, especially in reviewing complex contracts and pricing policies. 61 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions such as Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Technology. 61 Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
