CORE TASKS: 61 Exercise effective control of the operations with respect to labor, raw materials, equipment, process and finished products in order to produce with optimum efficiency and safety, the required quantities and quality for all products. 61 Ensure all operations are performed safety and within the environmental and legal requirements as imposed by local and state regulations. 61 Coordinates all activities within the plant and assigns special tasks and focal points to the Production Manager; 61 Develops production schedules and then execute these schedules based on plant processes, personnel, materials and inventory requirements 61 Organizes the implementation and regular update of SOPs and work instructions 61 Interface with the Laboratory personnel regarding product quality and production efficiencies 61 Interface with the technical department regarding equipment performance, project status, reactive maintenance and preventative maintenance 61 Interface with the Supply Chain Management to establish an appropriate production plan 61 Participates in the budgeting process including: input for annual budgets, five year plans, facility upgrade, etc. 61 Liaise with the EHSQ Manager to develop and implement environmental, health, safety and quality programs 61 Participates as a member of the management team in problem solving and decision-making processes 61 Provides information and reports as required 61 Takes steps to promote a positive employee relation’s climate on the plant. This includes direct participation in contract negotiations, day-to-day interpretations of the contract, and handling of employee grievances and disputes 61 Assesses and recommends appropriate staffing for the efficient operation of the plant; participates and oversees the recruitment, training and development of subordinate personnel 61 Follow the company regulations regarding IP-protection and code of conduct etc. 61 Accept ESHQ responsibility for the MTBE&TO Plant, following the “Roehm ESHQ Roles and Responsibilities”
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 61 5-10 years of experience in Chemical Process Industry in a production or supervisory role 61 Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Chemical Technology or Operations 61 Very competent oral and written English communication skills 61 Knowledge of engineering or chemical technology with process improvement and optimization experience, business management experience, cost accounting and labour relations 61 Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, communication and organization skills
