Position Description: As a Signal Integrity Engineer, you will be part of an exciting team developing, delivering products for servers/storages/communication products. You major duties will be to serve as the signal integrity analysis for products and provide the support to external and internal customers, team members, and other persons during R&D phase.
Specific Job Responsibilities: 1. PCB material choosing and stack-up definition 2. 3D passive channel modeling 3. Create Signal Integrity pre-layout and post-layout report in R&D phase. 4. Implement specific SI simulation with schedule. Flexible adjustment should be made based on issue occurring and debugging. 5. Define constraints for PCB layout, manage constraints. 6. Report what you find and recommendations to the R&D team and track the issues from creation to closure. 7. Cooperate with R&D team and other signal test engineers on debugging, failure analysis and fixing issues discovered during test. 8. Evaluate and develop simulation and signal test methodology to reduce design time and risks. 9. Power integrity simulation skill is a plus. 10. Be familiar with SAS, PCIe, USB interfaces is a plus.
Qualifications Education: B.S. or M.S. Electrical Engineering or related fields
Required Experience:
- Education Requirements: MSEE with minimum 3 years or BSEE with minimum 5 years experience in high speed interface design and signal integrity or Microwave Engineering. - Hands on experience with high speed interfaces implementation and hardware system experience is a must. - Packaging RLCG extraction and knowledge of IBIS modeling, board & package model extraction, via modeling. - Simulating and analyzing Power distribution network for power integrity. - System Signal Integrity analysis experience with HSPICE is must and familiarity with tools such as Agilent ADS, Sigrity Power-SI, Ansoft HFSS tools. - Proficiency in Electromagnetic, Transmission-line & S-parameters theory and modeling. - Understanding of signal integrity analysis parameters and evaluate trade-offs between design parameters to determine an optimum solution space. - Experience using lab measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA - Strong written and oral communication in English or Japanese with customer service skills
