JOB PURPOSE Ensures that MGTS clients’ get the most adequate, qualitative products at the best price for their portfolio in their dedicated geographic area. You are in charge of Supplier sourcing and management; Price negotiation as well as offer and Category management linked to your European contacts needs requests. MAIN JOB DUTIES 1. Reliability of the supplier’s base for products portfolio. Prospect new potential relevant suppliers your dedicated portfolio. Secures that MGTS always has a relevant array of referenced and prospected suppliers for each product in portfolio. Close and pro-active Management of the supplier and prospect database is a must-do. Participates in the Supplier Qualification Process of new suppliers to be referenced. Maintain relationships and regularly visits referenced suppliers to keep updated about their new and coming developments, financial health, strengths and weaknesses, potential risks and opportunities for MGTS. Updates supplier’s database with these info to keep it up-to-date.
2. Sourcing the best products at the best price according to our clients’ needs and requests. Sources the products answering clients’ needs and requirements on your zone to suppliers taking into account clients and company’s requirements & standards (product specification and quality, supplier quality and production standards, payments and logistics terms, return rates and spare parts supply, etc.) Negotiates prices, prices validity and terms with the suppliers, to obtain the best offers on the market. Analyses suppliers’ offers with clients’ requirements and liaise with Product Managers in Europe to discuss them. May also suggest additional offers that might be interesting for the market. And innovative and open-mind way of thinking is a major asset. Acts as the interface between the product development teams in Geneva / France and the supplier through the whole development process and communicates statuses in an effective and timely manner to all people involved through the process. Relevantly updates price lists and product related referencing information’s so that tariffs and product database is always up-to-date. Supports QA Technicians with quality related issues Guarantees that the whole process is running according to defined deadlines. Respects the company’s processes and procedures.
3. Supervision of the Production Process. Manages samples: Ensure that the company is able to select the items according to compliant samples from the suppliers. Ensures that projects and orders are running smoothly with the supplier and according to negotiated terms and planned schedule. Closely follows the production planning with the supplier and logistic assistants (schedule and feasibility, deadlines: starting production dates, end of production, etc.) Alerts the relevant teams in case of potential changes in schedule or difficulties potentially affecting the planning. Provides adequate information, data’s, indicators and reports on his activity to all people involved through existing tools and/or communication processes (weekly, etc.) Make sure your suppliers signed our business contract and make sure suppliers respect the contract, as price term validity, quality problem compensation, and delay compensation.
REQUIREMENTS - Diploma (At least Bachelor, Master is preferred) in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or Management / Business Administration with relevant experiences - Experience in a retail / sourcing or product-oriented company is a PLUS - Good knowledge of Import/Export basics - Outgoing, positive, multi-tasked, stable and smart character is REQUIRED. - Good team player and able to work independently without daily guidance - Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin) - Knowledge of French could be a PLUS - Proficient in using Excel (especially complex commands), PowerPoint and Outlook, etc.
