Essential Functions

1. Drive supplier performance meet or exceed DPPM quality goals established by the business including targets created for each supplier. Leverage corrective action process (8D), supplier audits, ensure potential and current suppliers meet or exceed Leviton’s performance expectations, and ensure supplier compliance and drive supplier improvement plans;

2. Responsible for new product and design change part approval through First Article Review, parts measurement, verification, and validation of test results.

3. Facilitate and/or lead quality problem solving activities utilizing all available and relevant quality tools.

4. Manage immediate quality issues through cross functional collaboration; confirm supplier quality issues do not put production at risk, etc.

5. Conduct on-site product quality inspection based on requirements and the company practices Inspection includes but not limited to visual inspection, functional test and packaging check.

6. Utilizing the supplier’s documentation, Leviton documents and reference samples to inspect and review the product components pre-production. Ensure that all components meet the specification and are suitable for mass production.

7. Review WIs and ensure they are being followed during the manufacturing proces, ensure all line workers follow ESD control during production and component handling.   

Personal Specifications

1. Degree 2+ years above, Material Science, Electronics or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering background；

2.Familiar with ISO9001 Quality Systems; ISO9001 plant auditing experience;

3.Effective oral English; Ability to write and read English;  

This position will require travel of 50% to 75% or more.
