61 Manage all supplier-related activities with product group and technology expertise in commodity.
61 Leading the further development of the supplier base with regard to the Zero Defect Strategy from the beginning of the project phase to the end of the vehicle project
61 Ensure a high delivery quality for the scope of the purchase parts within the commodity and the supplier in its own area of responsibility.
Principle activities
61 Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in internal working groups
61 Create internal publications (e.g. documentation, etc.) and present as required (internally)
61 Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries
61 Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise (e.g. adapt and newly develop product group- or technology-specific methods, etc.)
61 Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action
61 Conduct mainly conceptual activities within his/her area of expertise
61 Further development of specific experiences and knowledge within a commodity with regard to quality, logistics and equipment management
61 Support strategic supplier selection processes by initial supplier visits and supplier evaluations from a logistical and quality or equipment standpoint as a basis for sourcing processes and cooperate in the sourcing process
61 Manage supplier audits, process inspections, action definitions, action follow-ups
61 Manage supplier development programs, define target systems and multi-step plans with the suppliers, and observe supplier development based on the agreed goals
61 Manage launch readiness reviews on-site including follow-up measures, up to transfer to series production
61 Manage supplier insolvencies, create equipment inventory lists, check ownership issues and create certifications, build up safety inventories
61 Support design activities, taking into account special internal and external requirements and define internal standards
61 Manage suppliers PPAP and process approvals in comparison with internal and external customer requirements as well as documentation in relevant DRX systems (e.B. Host, QSYS, Scan View, PLM, SLC, SAP, etc.)
61 Manage all matters relevant for the department in quality initiatives and customer audits (internal and external) and in drawing up and expanding supplier agreements and contracts with regard to quality and logistics agreements or equipment agreements
61 Create and evaluate supplier achievement; create trend analyses and develop actions for recognized issues
61 Support complaint management in escalations
61 Assure problem elimination activities with suppliers
61 Assure containments, cause analyses, developing and implementing permanent remedial actions
61 Consistent further development of the product and process maturity of buy parts
61 Leading the continuous development of the supplier base of the commodity finished lines (e.g. Quality with regard to the zero error strategy
61 Timely implementation of the quality planning process to the supplier
61 Ensure the implementation of necessary corrective measures including top topics (escalations) in the event of deviations from delivery agreements during prototype, pre-series and series phases
61 Takeover of key user function, special tasks and special projects
Job requirements
61 Bachelor or above
61 Supplier Quality Engineer with subject-specific knowledge of technologies within the commodity
61 IATF16949, VDA6.3 certificate is preferred
61 Over 5 years experiences in manufacturing industries including more than 3 years experiences in Quality Management, or Quality Technique, or QM System
