Job responsibilities: 1 Ensure early involvement of SQD in case of new suppliers and/or materials and on-time PPAP approval 2 Conduct purchasing of materials independently and select supplier and second sources for the components out of an approved supplier list 3 Ensure correct, complete and timely maintenance of master data and workflows in all relevant systems 4 Order program related needs like samples and toolings 5 Support and execute cost reduction ideas 6 Execute category strategy 7 Confirm material availability and lead time for the components 8 Ensure supplier capacities to avoid supply bottlenecks 9 Support product change requests and “End of Life” ramp-down activities at the component level
Qualifications: 1 College degree or above 2 5+ years project buyer experience with a multinational company, preferably in automotive industry 3 Good command of English (listening, speaking, reading and writing) 4 Proactive attitude and good negotiation skills, results driven. 5 Expertise in electronic components.
