As the senior software engineer in the SETOPS data team you will be part of an international team of data experts working in multidisciplinary projects that leverage rich and diverse datasets to solve our manufacturing challenges and improve our factories operational performances.
You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the organization state-of-the-art cloud data platform in order to support deployment of new analytics products and enabling data driven decision-making. You will also be involved in all parts of our data projects from business requirements collection to software architecture and design as well as data ingestion, transformation and insights restitution through APIs or graphical interfaces.

Main responsibilities
? You will work with key stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive productivity improvement in our operations.
? You will collaborate with Idemia ITSEC and Cloud engineering teams to setup, maintain the team data platforms (Azure / AWS), and support current and new analytics projects deployments in a scalable, reliable and secure way.
? You will lead software architecture and design discussions within the team in order to develop reliable and scalable end-to-end data products, effectively turning raw data into business value for all Idemia SETOPS factories.
? You will be involved in all aspects of project development, specifically on data consumption services for our end-users, in order to bridge the gap between analytical insights and true business value: API’s, Graphical user interfaces, reverse ETL workflows, etc.
? You will design and build reusable frameworks and libraries as well as automated CI/CD workflows to easily develop and scale current and future analytics products, using existing tools within Idemia software factory: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.
? You will set up software engineering best practices and guidelines for the team to follow and provide technical leadership, coach and mentor less experienced data analysts, scientists and engineers in the team to help them grow as data professionals
Experience, background & required skills
? At least 4 year of relevant experience as a software engineer, with at least 2+ years working on data engineering projects ? Relevant experience designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and reliable services, preferably in the cloud (Azure, AWS) ? Expertise on one or more programming language (Python, Scala, Java, C++, etc.) and in-depth technical knowledge of various relational and non-relational database systems ? Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.), preferably with applied experience ? Strong communication and collaboration skills: Ability to work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and turn them into technical solutions, ability to transfer knowledge effectively and to convey complex information to all levels of technical and non-technical users ? Expert in establishing and promoting high standards in software development, monitoring, data validation, testing, etc. ? Passion for data engineering, analytics, and interest in mentorship and coaching teammates. ? Experience in manufacturing domain is a plus
