Job Purpose:
To identify, source and manage products in Asia for various business units in US & UK.

Job Dimensions:
Overall responsibility for the management of up to 100,000 skus across Asia Pacific sourced from Asian suppliers.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager
Principal Accountabilities
To source for quality products to achieve targeted cost savings
Enhance product offerings through analysis of competitors, customer feedback, web search data, supplier info by country and region
Create product strategy for the business by liaising and working with all business units and market segments
Work across APAC regions managing and developing suppliers relationship
Identify & recommend potential & new products to Business units’ Product Managers
Work with and communicate with US and European based Product Managers
To work with suppliers to ensure that new product is available and expedited to the markets
To develop and manage close working relations with Product Managers and to schedule the delivery of product to meet new catalogue and promotion deadlines.
Key Challenges
Delivering cost down, rebates initiatives, improving T&Cs
Building and maintaining effective, courteous relationships with suppliers and business units.
Working to strict delivery deadlines
Sourcing for better quality, cost competitive products
Managing multiple tasks, risk management of suppliers
Skills, Know How and experience
Diploma in Electronics / Business / Materials Management with at least 3 years of relevant sourcing or purchasing function.
A-Level graduate with minimum 5 years of relevant experience would also be considered.
Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
A good communicator, both written and orally, fluent in English & Mandarin, with a sound commercial acumen. Able to communicate effectively at all levels with internal colleagues,
customers and suppliers
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
Ability to take ownership, prioritize work-loads and make decision.
Positive – Can do attitude.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast- paced environment
Keen attention to detail.
