Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Senior Sourcing Manager, focusing on the China market and Finished Good business. This people play a critical role in formulating, shaping the sourcing strategies, making the decisions with influencing the cross functional teams to fulfill business needs, and executing it effectively while managing supplier relationship and driving supplier performance, and optimizing the sourcing process.
Responsibilities:
Supplier & Sourcing Strategy development: - Scouting for ODM/JDM and Sub-Assy suppliers in China. - Develop a sufficient ODM / JDM supply base and formulate comprehensive supplier & sourcing strategies for the China market - Leading cross functional teams to drive the supplier and sourcing strategy - Execute end-to-end sourcing processes, from supplier identification to contract negotiation and relationship management. - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, and suppliers. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in sourcing and supply chain management. Cost Management - Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and all necessary details. - Able to conduct detailed cost analysis include should cost Analysis Market Intelligence and Insight: - Conduct thorough market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging opportunities. - Provide strategic insights to the leadership team based on market and supplier assessments. Team Leadership and Development: - Operate as a single point of contact to business/project teams - Coordinate with FG sourcing team and component sourcing team for C4C (China for China) projects. - Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, providing guidance and support for individual and collective success. - Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture. - This role will require extensive travel, within China
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus. - Proven experience in senior sourcing roles, with a focus on the China market and ODM/JDM business. - Strong negotiation skills and a successful track record of contract and supplier management. - Deep understanding of the PC industry, market trends, and supplier landscape. - Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Fluent English and Mandarin both in written and speaking. - Track record in FG sourcing and supplier management w/ good understanding of different manufacturing processes. - Data oriented with strong analytical skills - Strong business sense and able to react fast to the market trends or customer requests. - Able to liaise with BG and JDM/ODM supplier for new business opportunities - Good understanding of different product category and related manufacturing processes - Contract management capability (especially on ODM)
