Hardware Engineer: Responsibility: ??Mastery of all aspects of lithium cell technology and chemistries including: internal construction, various electrolyte chemistries, charging, discharging, capacity, cycle life, maintanance, operational and storage temperatures, internal impedance, and typical and non-typical failure-modes. ??All aspects of interacting directly-with and managing external key-technology vendors including: lithium cells, protection and gas-gauge IC’s, MCU’s, and transistors and thyristors. ??All aspects of hardware design including: chip selection and qualification, schematic creation and capture, PCB layout, etc., of rechargeable battery pack and charger products. ??All aspects of agency and regulatory certifications including UL, UNDOT, FCC, CE, IEC, etc ??All aspects of associated work-product including: Product specifications, bills-of-materials, gerber files, test specifications, Design and Process FMEA’s, etc. ??All aspects of working inter-departmentally (internally) and intra-departmentally (externally) to execute all aspects of battery pack and charger system product development and problem-solving activities. ??All aspects of knowing, exectuting various ISO policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirement: 1. BSEE Degree. 2. Fluent and proficient in written and spoken English language. 3.Extensive and diverse hands-on experience with various Electronic Design Automation (EDA) CAD systems. 4.Extensive and diverse hands-on experience with all aspects of complex circuitry including: design, PCB layout, and validation. 5.Extremely strong at originating and authoring: consice, effective, and efficient technical writing. 6.Extremely strong with advanced problem-solving leading to correct and evidence-driven root-cause determination in complex electronic systems. 7.Extensive hands-on expertise with all standard electronic test equipment and tools. 8.Minimum 7-10 years hands-on experience developing all aspects of Lithium Ion Battery Management Systems (including both BATTERIES and CHARGERS). 9. Minimum 7-10 years hands-on experience developing lithium: protection circuitry, battery gasgauge functionality and charging-system expertise. 10.Extensive knowledge and experience in plastics. 11.Extensive knowledge of lithium battery systems regulatory and compliance standards. 12.Extensive knowledge and experience interacting and working with NRTLs
