Responsibilities: 1.Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for all products, ensuring accuracy and completeness of component lists and associated documentation. 2.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to review and validate BOMs, incorporating design changes and sourcing requirements as needed. 3.Establish and maintain production routings for all products, specifying the sequence of operations, work centers, and standard labor and machine times. 4.Optimize production routings to improve efficiency, minimize lead times, and reduce costs, while maintaining quality and safety standards. 5.Coordinate with manufacturing engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization, incorporating best practices into BOMs and routings. 6.Develop and implement product costing methodologies, including materials, labor, and overhead costs, to accurately determine product costs and profitability. 7.Analyze cost data and perform cost simulations to support pricing decisions, cost reduction initiatives, and make-or-buy evaluations. 8.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment between product costing and financial reporting, providing insights into variances and cost drivers. 9.Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, such as yield rates, cycle times, and resource utilization, identifying areas for optimization and corrective action. 10.Collaborate with IT and ERP system administrators to maintain accuracy and integrity of BOM, routing, and product costing data in enterprise systems.
Qualifications: 1.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, or a related field. 2.Proven experience in bill of materials management, routing design, product costing, or manufacturing accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 3.Strong technical aptitude, with knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting methodologies. 4.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, and other tools used for BOM, routing, and product costing management. 5.Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. 6.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 7.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data management and documentation.
