Key Accountabilities and Major Activities
61 Understand smart cards, chip and contact plate technologies and other smart card components related spends, across the business, analyze category markets and translate into actionable strategies and forward-looking analysis.
61 Develops category expertise, maintains market intelligence and stays abreast of the changing supply base and new technologies.
61 Lead efforts that drive cost optimization, improved quality and service and enhanced innovation through strategic market research, supplier relationship and risk management.
61 Negotiate cost effective agreements with key suppliers & distributors that result in measurable cost benefits.
61 Collaborates with key stakeholders upstream and downstream to ensure engagement, buy-in and ownership of key sourcing strategies.
61 Contributes to develop supplier management strategies that enhance innovation and quality, reduces costs and improves supply chain efficiencies.
61 Leads Supplier Selection
61 Contributes to company risk management strategies to increase awareness and ensure implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans.
61 Support compliance and quality activities around procurement at varying sites;
61 Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts; identifying and communicating new technologies and solutions to Company’s key problems in the assigned spend areas
Qualifications & Experience
61 Bachelor’s degree in sourcing, logistics, engineering science or equivalent.
61 More than 5 years of procurement experience with potential experience in smart card industry, electronics consumer goods products, Biometrics and smart devices, etc…
61 Curious and open minded with new technologies.
61 Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies that have yielded measurable business results.
61 Experience working with multicultural virtual teams in a global and complex environment.
61 Team player, flexible, dedicated to the job, caring to the team spirit
61 Travel up to 10%, mainly in China and Asia
