About the role: As a Head of Sales of China, you will be in a leader role with focus on generating new business across all of Morningstar’s main product lines. In this role, you will be coaching and leading the whole Sales team in China. You will be able to drive business strategic plan based on the best understanding of China market, resources and Morningstar strengths and capabilities. This will be an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experts across all areas of Morningstar and to work with the Sales and Client Relations team globally to grow our market presence. Your clear understanding of our clients and prospects and their business drivers will be the key to success. This position will be based in Shenzhen, China and reporting to the Managing Director, China Job Responsibilities: 61 Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure individual and team success. 61 Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and achieve targets. 61 Employ winning strategies and ensure that our product lines meet the market needs to continue growing the business. 61 Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss goals, and progress. Monitor team performance against current quarter and out quarter KPIs providing weekly updates to the Managing Director of China, and regular updates to the global stakeholders. 61 Be the voice for the China Sales team to provide constructive feedback to improve sales operational processes. 61 Lead by example in upholding ethical standards, best practices on sales operations for oneself and the team, addressing any instances of non-compliance promptly and constructively. 61 Drive a culture of high performance, integrity, and professionalism within the sales team, embodying Morningstar’s values and standards of excellence. 61 Seek appropriate approvals and consult relevant authorities before making significant decisions. Qualifications & experience required: 61 Demonstrating the knowledge and understanding of Finance industry in China. Be able to drive the business success with strategic plan. 61 Strong leadership, long-range planning, and time-management skills are essential. Management experience is a plus. 61 At least ten years of business-to-business sales experience (or relevant marketing/commercial experience), preferably in the financial services sector. Prior experience supporting and/or selling financial data and solutions is preferred. 61 A talented communicator and face-to-face presenter, able to demonstrate expert-level knowledge of the products sold and to represent Morningstar in a professional manner. 61 Skilled at working as part of a team, sharing information, leads, market information, and competitive feedback with product management, sales colleagues, and management. 61 Proficient written and verbal English skills are required.
