As the project engineer, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable timber laws and regulations as well as with customers’ wood policies and requirements, and be the key interface between customers, suppliers, internal teams and third parties on these topics. In addition to this, the role involves coordinating future sustainability and traceability projects. Responsibilities: - Be the leading person on wood sustainability topics in the organization: communicate with internal teams as well as with suppliers to ensure their understanding and adherence to the programs. - Pilot and be the central part in the compliance to key requirements such as EUDR, FSC, etc.; - Collect and analyse wood data and supporting evidences provided by suppliers (traceability sheets, wood supply chain mapping, etc.); - Be part of risks analysis reviews based on the collected data and propose appropriate mitigation strategies; - Carry out field visits and wood audits; - Implement and follow-up corrective actions plans to obtain responsible wood sources; - Link with ONG partners in Asia to benefit from their expertise and support on above items; - Be responsible for the continued FSC certification of our sites and be part of FSC operational implementation; - Pilot the development of the wood eco-certification; - Update monitoring tables and indicators ; report on progress and situations; - Suggest improvements of the processes and documentation to achieve better performance; - Project coordination for sustainability and traceability projects; - Any other task as assigned by superiors. Requirement: - Bachelor degree or above on forestry or wood science, preferably someone with wood certification; - Minimum 3 years experience; - Knowledge of wood supply chain traceability and of wood industry; - Good English level; - Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; - Good organisation and project management skills; - Good communication skills; - Able to work autonomously.
