Purpose of Role We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and experienced Product Manager to support product identification, supplier negotiations, documentation and support to delivery on a varied set of products within the portfolio. Suppliers are based predominately in China. In this role, you should be well-versed in delivering product support across the organisation, providing advice, guidance and delivering projects within timescales. This is an important role to help us grow our business, with the scope for the Product Manager to grow in-line with the business success.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for the management of time critical product deliveries, from early design concept, capturing of bespoke requirements, development & delivery. Continually review the milestone plans, ensuring sign-off and key milestones are met and on-going development is executed to create project longevity. Fully understand, adhere to regulatory requirements, and deliver product certification. Determine and mitigate risks involved in the project(s), while clearly communicating to the internal business on delays & solutions. Ensuring that the highest quality standards are met. Regularly meet with suppliers and manage the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary documentation Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, design, marketing, and sales to bring products to market. Maintain detailed product documentation and specifications. Look for ways to improve procurement processes, making them more efficient and transparent
SKILLS Competent in managing the key aspects of a project, from capturing requirements to delivery and continuing support. Excellent communication and negotiation skills Outstanding administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a high level of organisation. Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritise Ability to research and quickly gain new skills or understanding around the customer requirements. Preferred experience of managing global certification. Strong team working skills, across multiple functions and cultures of the business. Open and collaborative style. Must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged Strong English verbal & written communication skills. Good facilitation and analytical skills. Competent in all regular Microsoft PC office applications.
QUALIFICATIONS A graduate candidate is preferred, but not essential based on the right experience. 3+ years of experience in product development or product management, with a focus on consumer goods or technology products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
