As a Digital Designer at Belkin, you are responsible for prepping web-ready production files for the Belkin brand in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with Senior Designers, Art Directors, our Photo Team, and our Digital Asset Manager to finalize and optimize design mockups and digital assets for a wide range of projects — including but not limited to landing pages, shop pages, email campaigns, ad banners, social media assets, slideshows, animations, and presentations for both consumer-facing and B2B audiences. You will partner with various cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Front-End Development to ensure online design objectives and timelines are met according Belkin’s standards.
Specific responsibilities include: 61 Execute design files from the creative team into production/web-ready files 61 Provide creative input and innovation for a variety of digital/web projects, recognizing web protocols, standards and technologies that may contribute to business success 61 Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that the work is on-brand and meets creative and strategic standards appropriate to the target audience 61 Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. 61 Attention to detail is paramount 61 Prepare web project files and associated files as needed—presentations, style guide updates, wireframes, user flows, etc. 61 Responsible for 100% accuracy and proofing of all materials produced; ensure that all projects follow the required reviews, process, and workflow. 61 Support and uphold the branding standards and consistency on all web design projects 61 Support the implementation and maintenance of workflow conventions and procedures 61 Accountable for adhering to the organization and department procedures and guidelines, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment. 61 Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001; understand and fully support ISO system. 61 Support Company’s Affirmative Action initiatives, providing equal opportunity to employees and candidates. 61 Uphold the Company’s affirmative action plan and make good faith efforts to achieve affirmative action goals and timetables. 61 Comply with Health and Safety requirements of Belkin. 61 Maintain a safe and clean work environment. 61 Understand and follow company rules and regulations. 61 Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Education and Experience Requirements: 61 Completion of at least 2 years Graphic Design certified course or equivalent 61 Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in web design and e-commerce 61 Online portfolio a must 61 Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to express ideas clearly written and graphically. 61 In-depth understanding of web optimization and compression of web assets 61 In-depth understanding of multi-platform user experience challenges 61 Experience with high-profile, global brands a plus 61 Experience with large-scale, e-commerce sites 61 Experience with responsive sites 61 Understanding of motion design is not required, but a big plus (After Effects, Adobe Premiere, HTML5) 61 Familiarity with CSS and HTML/HTML5 is preferable 61 Proficiency with Mac computers, printers, scanners; proficient with relative software, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Workfront MRM and DAM 61 Ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with customers, prospects, and vendors
