Responsibilities 1. Pile Foundation Design: a. Design and analyze pile foundations for offshore jacket platforms, considering soil properties, loading conditions, and environmental factors. b. Perform pile capacity calculations, settlement analysis, lateral load analysis, and fatigue life assessment. c. Develop installation methods and procedures for pile foundations. 2. Scour Protection Design: a. Assess scour potential around jacket foundations, considering hydrodynamic forces and sediment transport processes. b. Design and specify scour protection measures, including rock berms, sheet piles, and geotextiles. c. Perform scour monitoring and assessment during the operational phase. 3. Risk Assessment: a. Identify and assess geotechnical risks associated with offshore projects, including foundation stability, scour, and liquefaction. b. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of geotechnical uncertainties. 4. Project Management: a. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, marine, and environmental engineers. b. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. c. Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budget and schedule. 5. Code Compliance: a. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., API, DNV, ABS). b. Stay up-to-date with the latest geotechnical engineering advancements.
