Overview: Perform the Sustaining / Maintenance work of product produced in the manufacturing site located in South East Asia or in China. The scope of Sustaining / Maintenance includes managing new SKU, Cost down, Product Engineering improvement in functionality and reliability, Alternative components development … DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Generate design improvement ideas and execute the improvement as planned for product and manufacturing in the manufacturing facilities. Perform root cause investigation and failure analysis jointly with Quality Team on the product quality issues in field return or customer compliant. Analysis test results and support the design debug and analysis on-site in the manufacturer for the project development launch of different projects. Create and maintain the product specification and hold responsible to. Follow the best practice defined in design and CAD modeling and engineering analysis during the design and qualification of the product. Work close supplier to leverage the resources required by the project to achieve the committed target of the projects. Participate in the development of comprehensive test plans. Take up the Technical Team Leader (TTL) role on derivatives projects and sustaining projects/tasks. Responsible for the execution and implementation of the sustaining projects/tasks and launch on time of derivatives projects. Work with the team to plan activities, schedule tasks, and estimate resources for the relevant projects.

Required experiences with good competency: 6 to 9 years in Product Development Strength in engineering fundamentals Analytical approach to problems Electromechanical consumer product (Design Vacuum Cleaner is preferred) Machine part and system design, particularly plastic parts, electromechanical components … Geometric dimensioning & tolerance application Both UL & IEC approved knowledge 3D CAD (use Creo for Top down design) Test development and results analysis Failure Analysis technique Manufacturing system and different manufacturing process
