Key Qualifications 61 Developing and performing environmental and mechanical stress tests including shock, drop, and vibration. 61 Failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, x-ray or CT scans, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. 61 Fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure. 61 Knowledge of industry test standards from JEDEC, ASTM, and IEEE. 61 Application of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. 61 Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physical Sciences. 61 Extraordinary problem-solving abilities with strong attention to the fine details. 61 Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills for audiences ranging from technicians to senior VPs.
