MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Qualify potential suppliers through factory audit for new programs as well as matured indirect programs identified for conversion to direct programs (Procurement driven) 2. Conduct eyewitness testing or production sample evaluation for new programs to ensure supplier completes required testing and product compliance and submit evaluation report to GGS Engineering (ENG /Product Management driven) 3. Investigate quality issues prioritized through QAR, defective return and/or customer feedback, etc. Evaluate a cause of the problem by examining products against specifications and designed functionality, production processes, quality assurance/inspection process, etc. Report investigation result to Engineering and participate in problem solving process 4. Identify and address issues associated with supplier’s quality assurance and inspection process to ensure consistent product quality. Guide, train suppliers to develop and/or improve their quality assurance competencies, resulting in consistent product quality 5. Perform shipment inspections at supplier sites upon request to ensure consistent in-coming product quality (ENG /Product Management driven) 6. Conduct annual factory quality audits in support of strategic supplier performance management 7. Conduct Pre-Production Technical Review with suppliers before production 8. Continuously drive implementation of factory self-Inspection strategy 9. Support consolidation center for product quality inspection when require 10. Support Engineering to generate technical specifications and QA sheet 11. Provide suggestions for ISO process REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an accredited institution required 2. Minimum 5 years of production and quality assurance/inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required 3. Quality assurance certifications, training and/or experience in ISO/QS certification is a plus 4. Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement with suppliers 5. Demonstrated process orientation and project management skills 6. Strong computer skills including MS office. 7. Business level fluency in English and local language 8. 50% domestic and international business trip at times to remote locations in harsh conditions required 9. Flexible work days and hours required in dealing with the U.S. Headquarters and oversea offices 10. Set a high personal integrity in conducting business with suppliers worldwide.
