RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct comprehensive sourcing activities for materials and fabrics.
2. Proactively search for and develop new sourcing channels to diversify the supplier base.
3. Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers to ensure high-quality materials, competitive pricing, and on-time developments.
4. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible lead times and prices.
5. Monitor the overall performance and compliance of suppliers and take necessary actions to ensure adherence to quality and ethical standards.
6. Create and maintain accurate records of all sourcing activities, supplier information, pricing, and developments.
7. Responsible for fabric technical requirements including lab-testing.
8. Maintain an up-to-date fabric library with running and new seasonal fabrics.
9. Keep track of market trends, and innovations related to material sourcing.
Job Requirements:
1. College degree in Textile/Apparel/Fashion discipline or equivalent experience
2. 5-8 years of experience in sourcing, product development or merchandising in knit.
3. Strong technical background in garment with both woven & knit fabrics.
4. Experience working with overseas customers, predominantly in the US and European markets.
5. Sound negotiation and interpersonal skills.
6. Be good at MS Office suite, for data analysis and reporting.
7. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential.
