61 Manage the use and maintenance of the School workshops, i.e. machine shop, 3-D printing shop and photo studio. 61 Support the faculty and students’ needs for the workshop, provide training, guidance and assistance in the design output of workshops; 61 Support the School for the development of workshop courseware and software platforms; 61 Manage the workshops’ assets, and check-out and check-in of the equipment and devices; 61 Assist the Vice Dean for Administration in managing lab safety and policy compliance at the School; 61 Responsible for other related tasks assigned by the School.
Qualifications
The following competencies are preferred: 61 alignment with the missions and visions of the School of Design and SUSTech 61 demonstrable experience with and/or qualification in design, computer, mechanical engineering, electronics field, Master Degree or above 61 Rich working experience in research and teaching lab management and related teaching support; experience in product design, training and coaching of design newcomers is preferred 61 with an open mind and the ability to learn and follow design industry trends, experience in software & hardware design or multimode design is preferred 61 willingness to receive training in any of the above areas 61 English and Mandarin language proficiency, capable of cross-cultural communication 61 good service awareness and ability to effectively communicate and work with others 61 empathy and ability to understand users’ needs and work under pressure 61 capacity for independent thinking, fast learning and problem solving
