JOB TARGET As Cargo Sales Manager, you will be directly and independently responsible for the end to end sales of international air cargo services and products. Reporting to the Head of Sales you will formulate and implement sales strategies in line with the overall country and regional objectives and maximize the airlines market share revenue earnings within the cargo sales market. This includes market segmentation and yield management while ensuring pricing strategies are sufficiently competitive to achieve optimum levels of revenue and traffic with major customers – direct customers, forwarders, brokers, integrators - suppliers, and also other airlines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be responsible for the air cargo sales performance directly by: 1. Manage the day-to-day contact with key account agents and shippers for revenue generation. 2. Seek creative ways to gather market intelligence to identify selling possibilities to leverage our competitive advantage and customer needs. 3. Seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media. 4. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services and face clients independently. 5. Onboard customers that provide recurring demand at attractive rates. 6. Actively manage relationships with shippers, key industry and trade partners. 7. Able to work with team of Sales to provide customer-centric solutions to customers 8. Conduct regular agent performance reviews and reports with sales and financial data 9. Analyze data by using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, prepare relevant reports and presentations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least 5 years of demonstrated experience at a Sales Management level within an Air Cargo business and have a solid knowledge of Air Cargo Sales & Marketing on a country/ regional basis 2. Strong track record of developing and leading the successful marketing and sales programs for an Airline Cargo business with a demonstrated record of success in building new revenue streams 3. Strong air cargo sales experience in overall business-to-business sales & marketing experience 4. Excellent communications skills (English is added advantage) 5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills both short-term/tactical and long-term/strategic 6. Be a well structured, highly professional individual who is results focused Strong business sense and is able to apply judgment during negotiations.
