The Design & Engineering GM will be based in Shenzhen or Zhuhai. General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a design team to be the best choice of customers’ ODM/JDM partner and enable manufacturing business growth, Reporting to the VP，Operations.
What a typical day looks like: - Work closely with segments and customers to support customer engagements throughout the project cycles to win and retain customers and expand businesses. - Establish technology roadmaps which support segments’ product roadmaps and business strategies. Regular communication with segments to make sure roadmaps are well aligned. - Establish/enforce product development processes. Make sure design quality meets and exceeds customer expectations. - Ensure budget, schedules and performance KPIs to meet corporate guidelines. - Engage with customers on design requirements, NPI, system integration, qualification, and field support. - Engage with factories, internal and external, to ensure smooth introduction of products. - Build a strong relationship with other GM’s, Business Unit Leaders and Business Development leaders. - Work with sourcing to make sure competitiveness of products. - Recruit and retain world class talents to support and grow businesses.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team: - 15+ year experience in R&D. 10+ years of experience managing teams, programs and projects within a design center environment. Familiar with design and NPI processes of electronic products. - R&D management experience in major consumer electronics and appliances companies. Strategic thinker with effective execution. - Experience providing technical management for large customer projects - System level architecture and thinking (mechanical, electrical, software, system and test) - Experience with taking products from design through manufacturing and into sustaining - Excellent communication skills with ability to develop influential proposals and presentations - Fluent in English and Chinese. - B.S. degree in Engineering a must, a M.S. or Ph.D. desired.
