China Merchandiser for Garments.
To support our continued growth; we are looking for an experienced garment merchandiser to join our team in Shenzhen. Working closely with our suppliers you will be involved in all aspects of the sourcing products and product development through to managing projects from order placement through to shipment.
We are currently manufacturing a wide range of jackets some of these being – 3-1 Jackets, puffa Jackets, soft shell, rain jackets.

Responsibilities:
61 To source and project manage a range of garments from mainland China.
61 Communicate with our UK office to ensure that the enquiry is clear and raise any concerns that you have that may cause a delay in meeting the agreed response time.
61 To evaluate supplier’s costs and send to our UK office the best price.
61 Average response time to our UK office is two to three days.
61 To arrange plain and pre - production samples.
61 Agree production schedule with suppliers
61 Monitor production schedule and arrange Production line audit and FRI
61 Arrange for samples to be tested by an Independent testing house.
61 To ensure that vendors are evaluated before order placement.
61 To arrange the shipping with the freight agent and the supplier.
61 Liaise between all involved parties on sample arrangement, review, production and order fulfilment.

Requirements:
61 A minimum of 4 -6 years of experience in sourcing and handling a range of garments.
61 Strong sourcing network and negotiation skills.
61 Experience with a trading company or buying office for Europe or USA markets preferred.
61 Good garment knowledge and familiar with European standards and regulations
61 Knowledge of key manufacturing processes and variables.
61 Organized, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
61 Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and vendors.
61 Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
61 Able to travel to Mainland China (occasional) as required.
61 Strong IT skills with experience in using Microsoft Office.

Salary
Starting salary within a range of 10000 - 12000 RMB per month which will be reviewed after 3 months probationary period.
