Group/Division The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation, and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and EHS. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements. Our primary areas of strategic focus include of reducing risks to our employees, eliminating serious injuries, reducing wastes, integration of EHS management systems. As the EHS Engineer, you will develop into a business partner to help support the business groups’ EHS goals and the path to achieve it, while ensuring corporate EHS goals and legal requirements are being met. You will be responsible for supporting the regional EHS functions with a primary focus on ICOS Shenzhen. Will provide back-up support for their peer EHS engineer for all China locations. The person in this role will: 1. Conduct daily EHS operation to meet the China EHS standard and KLA EHS policy. 2. Assist to build and operate EHS management system under ISO45001 & ISO14001, China Safety Standardization system requirements and local safety laws. 3. Conduct daily management of frontline safety, occupational health, hazard waste, and environment protection related items. 4. Implement and monitor the clean room, lab EHS status. 5. Follow and support FM audit related actions. 6. Manage chemicals safety procedure, include chemicals purchase, usage, storage and disposal. 7. Organize regular EHS training according to the training plan. 8. Promote incorporation of EHS into business planning and assist with establishing EHS as a business and management performance measure. 9. Assist with the implementation of the company audit program for the purpose of reviewing EHS performance and work practices against statutory and company requirements. 10. Partner with and lead managers, supervisors, and team leaders in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations. 11. Conduct periodic audits related to the EHS management systems, compliance, and company policy/procedure conformance. 12. Complete all required environmental, safety, occupational health and other regulatory reports per local requirements. 13. Manage the site-level risk assessment process. 14. Provide support to our ESG (sustainability) efforts for the sites under your span of control.
Qualifications 1. 5+ years or more experience in EHS area, semiconductor manufacture area EHS management experience is preferred. 2. Have experience on ISO14001 & ISO45001 system and China safety standardization system. 3. Have experience on occupational health, chemical, hazard waste and environment management. 4. Familiar with China EHS standard, especially Shenzhen local EHS policy. 5. Be able to accept travelling within China. 6. Hold certified safety engineer license is preferred. 7. Good write and speak English.
