Key Objectives of this Position: This position is responsible for achieving the agreed goals of submission of market study reports, joint admission (theme park) and room-nights (2 hotels) targets from assigned trade regions and accounts.
Key Responsibility: 61 Achieve or exceed admission and room-night targets by promoting HKDL products and events among the travel trade in the assigned catchment area. Complete market study reports with agreed quality and quantity. Create market presence in different trade channels, formulate business development initiatives which contribute to the bottom-line and review timely on the distribution efficiency of existing account portfolio. 61 Develop new types of channel customers, such as banks, famous company accounts, MICE companies, points malls, study-tour organizations, and various other cross-industry cooperation customers, to promote the development of the business. 61 Allocate resources (i.e. co-op marketing budget, point-of-sales materials, and sales premiums) for each individual account under own trade portfolio with an objective to assure cost effectiveness and implement various marketing promotion activities, including but not limited to small salons, fam tours, mini roadshows, KOL inspection, etc. 61 Maintain cohesive business relationships with HKDL trade partners including all key external parties such as local tourism bureaus, HKTB, airlines, other transportation providers, etc. 61 Conduct regular trade education with the assistance of direct reports. Prepare written reports, updated account information, trade and competitors’ intelligence.
Key Requirements: Education and Experience: 61 Bachelor’s degree or above 61 2+ years relevant experience Technical Skills and Knowledge: 61 Considerable experience of travel trade operation. 61 Business acumen to identify potential area for business growth. 61 Fluent Mandarin (Putonghua), English should be passable. 61 Proficient in Microsoft Office and Window applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability and Behaviors: 61 Strong interpersonal & learning skills. 61 Outstanding negotiation skills to manage a portfolio of trade accounts. 61 Ability to work under pressure. 61 Autonomy on all account management, such as the deployment of co-op advertisement budget, internal resources allocation, specific trade product or promotions launch, trade education arrangement, etc.
