BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position is responsible for leading APO team for any new product development projects plus resolving engineering and manufacturing issues to ensure the development can meet the quality requirement..
Job Responsibility:
61 Responsible for the whole project, including schedule/cost and performance;
61 Support the creation of mechanical architecture for new products and related accessories;
61 Provide technical oversight to product design team to inspire innovation and drive data-based engineering decisions.
61 Provide technical data to Product Definition and Industrial Design team for tradeoff analysis during early development.
61 Validate initial designs via analysis, prototyping and testing to increase efficiency of our development process.
61 Work with Quality Assurance and Test Engineering to define and implement validation testing plans and ensure products meet reliability requirements.
61 Interface with Program management to ensure that cost, schedule and performance targets are achieved.
61 Act as the primary PD interface cross-functional teams (i.e. ID, Product Definition, QA, Operations, EE, RF/Antenna, suppliers and partners, etc.)
61 Ensure successful development of mechanical tooling and production part qualification (i.e. ***-article inspections, manufacturing process capabilities, material certifications, etc.)
61 Collaborate with operations and quality teams to audit mechanical suppliers and external partners.
61 Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and increase business efficiency.
61 Key output/ Task Twelve: Have good knowledge for home appliance or medical device safety/regulatory requirement.
Education Requirement:
61 Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, Master degree is preferred;
Experience or Skills Required:
61 Min 15 years working experience in Engineering or project development in manufacturing industry
61 Working experience in Kitchen tools (OXO product line) is preferable
61 Min 8 years working experience in the company with 3rd party vendors
61 working experience in both company and factory is preferable
61 Good knowledge with characteristics of commonly used plastics, metal materials, toolings, manufacturing processes
61 Hands on experience on big projects transfer, to SEA is preferable
61 Hands-on experience on product reviewing and validation, Good writing skills for the reporting
61 Good analytical skills and troubleshooting skills
61 Good communication and alignment with BU/facture for tech communication, trouble shooting
61 Good leadership skills, can lead factory/APO team to move forward
61 Familiar with CAD software, Creo or Solid works
61 Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
61 Willing for business trip in SEA for 30% min
