OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE Reporting to the Assistant Purchasing Manager. This role involves managing procurement processes and supplier relationships while embodying BOA's values. Key responsibilities include processing purchase orders, overseeing supplier onboarding and performance, and supporting NPI/API projects. Additionally, you will track cost trends, provide analysis of material risk, and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc tasks.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Regularly role model BOA’s values to your team and others - Conduct the day-to-day processing of purchase requisition and purchase order management which includes order creation, revision, cancellation, invoice posting. - Supplier management from supplier onboarding, performance management, risk management, relationship build up to off boarding with 1st and 2nd tier suppliers. - Escalate to your supervisor /manager on the potential risks with proposal for discussion on the solutions. - Responsible for the operations part of NPI/API project with guidance, including accurate cost quotation/validation, meet project timeline, PO management, related supplier /material change management. - Supplier performance KPI tracking with root cause/opportunity identification, independently follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders on daily operations under designed SOP/WI - Draft supplier contracts/agreements under the supervision to ensure compliance with standard policies. - Track the material/product cost trend and perform the analysis under designed framework by manager. - Track and report on cost savings achieved through procurement initiatives and provide recommendations for further savings. - Carry out research activities for the realization of alternative suppliers/material/machine under the designed framework with technical and project teams. - Conduct data analysis to provide actionable insights for procurement decisions - Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and contribute to cross-functional projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years purchasing experience with Bachelor’s degree - Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin - High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint - Proficient in data analytics or reporting - Ability to work sensitively with confidential material. - Occasional travel is required. - Less experience or qualification will be considered as Purchasing Specialist
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Fluent Cantonese - Shoes manufacturing or international trading industry is preferred. - Experience in working in a cross-functional and multicultural environment. - Experience on Purchasing/Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement or supply chain will be an advantage.
