Summary: This position is responsible for the defined commodities to identify the best cost & suppliers from AVL for projects over whole life cycle. Activities includes but not limit to RFQ, cost analysis & negotiation, cost down solution identify, critical risk part assessment, DFM coordination, sample build and follow up, new tooling & payment management. He /She is also responsible for maintaining the necessary required data via the internal system. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. RFQ to suppliers 2. CBD Analysis, cost benchmark and cost comparison analysis 3. Cost negotiation with suppliers for final cost 4. New part supplier and cost selection align with Commodity based on strategy, and make final decision 5. Carryover parts price & supplier selection confirm, including capacity and tooling confirm with suppliers 6. Finish the critical part risk assessment, via work with D&D, SQE, and suppliers 7. Coordinate DFM Activities and new technical concept 8. Conduct VAVE activities and responsible for PPV target for mass production 9. Sample build (including mockup/prototype) order release & schedule follow 10. Tooling order & payment management 11. ECR/ECN process follow up 12. Create and maintain new part master data in SAP (IR information: lead-time, MOQ, fixed vendor, quota share, etc.) SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: 1. Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering / commercial or other related fields 2. At least 6 years and above experience focused on a manufacturing environment, preferably in home appliance industry, in electronics category such as PCBA, electronics components, LCD, LED, etc. Familiar with manufacturing process, test requirements, certification, etc 3. Good understanding of TCO and Cost Breakdown Concept, able to do overall cost comparison analysis and correlate with suppliers for the gap between quotes and should cost, provide out reasonable price based on analysis 4. Able to think strategically and work independently, problem solving skill 5. Familiar with procurement tools, be good and steadfast in negotiation, handle DFM review and supplier risk assessment, and achieve the supplier nomination 6. Good written and verbal communication skill both in English and Chinese. Be able to communicate fluently to key stakeholders and suppliers globally
