What You Will Do * Responsible for hardware design at system, PCBA, module, circuit, and component levels, based on design specifications to meet all product requirements. * Carry out feasibility study on new products against requirements, assist in defining a feasible architecture/concept and create a realistic development plan. * Ensure product quality from ODM/OEMs meets Harman standard and requirements. * Comply with Harman documentation structure, standards and design rules during project execution. * Participate in technical studies and innovation projects to strengthen know-how and develop new technologies in EE team. * In day-to-day work, demonstrate and focus on competencies in the following aspects: Leadership, Change-Orientation, Judgement, Collaboration and Results-Driven. * Train and coach junior engineers to achieve high level of technical competence.
What You Need * Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. * 12 years of working experience in design, development, and manufacturing of consumer audio products (for example, TWS & Wired Headphones, Wearable audio products, portable speakers, smart speakers etc..). * Able to lead technical discussions/projects with technology partners; Perform EE architectural design independently; Understand system design and performance tradeoff across multiple functional disciplines. * Able to make decisions with little or no guidance; Anticipate most issues, plan mitigation solutions, and provide timely feedback to management.02 Able to propose and verify potential solutions to meet new challenges and emerging needs. * Lead investigation on Audio/Video-industry technologies and platforms for application in Harman products; Excellent insight on market/competitor products analysis; Drive cost optimization initiative that makes sense for the business. * Independently lead innovation brainstorm sessions with fellow engineers; Publish technical papers on industry conference or file high-quality patent disclosures. 02Able to commercially realize invented technology or innovative ideas. * Has strong communication skills with clients, suppliers, ODMs and other department members. * Experience in integrating and troubleshooting RF (e.g. 2.4G and 5GHz, WiFi, BT etc..) circuits on audio/video products; Strong foundation on power system designs like AC/DC, DC/DC buck, DC/DC boost, Battery charger, Battery protection, Power supplies etc.. * Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment (AP/Audio Analyzers, Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum and Network Analyzers, Power Meters, GRAS etc..). * Experience in design optimization to meet Thermal, EMC, Safety and other regulatory standards related to audio industry. * Good communications; Strong teamwork spirit; Fluent listening, reading and writing in English. * Strong passion to learn and develop.
What is Nice to Have * Fluent speaking in English. * Strong passion for design excellence, and also exploring new innovation ideas. * Familiar with common technologies relevant for Consumer Electronics audio products, for example: Dolby Digital, DTS, 264/AVC, FM/DAB, DLNA, BT, WIFI, HDMI, USB, PD Charging etc.. * Familiar with IEC, EIA, EIAJ formats and UL, CSA, IEC safety standards. * Hardware programming experience (CPLD/FPGA, VHDL/Verilog etc..)
