Based out of our Shenzhen, China office, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing electrical design activities of our JDM/ODM/OEM suppliers. You will be engaged in projects from Concept to Production Phase, working side-by-side with adjacent Belkin’s cross-functional team members to complete deliverables On-time, On-cost, and On-quality. You will be working on various of consumer electronic with focus on audio products, such as TWS, speaker, headset…etc


Specific Responsibilities:
61 Review PRDs and ensure all technical requirements are accurately documented
61 Support/lead audio team to build acoustic standards/testing
61 Communicate with the 3rd lab to implement related test and output reports
61 Communicate clear technical requirements to ODM suppliers
61 Review the ODM design including the schematic Layout, BOM, and specification and confirm compliance to PRD.
61 Test samples and validate performance against Product Specification (Subjective and objective tests)
61 Co-work with across team on the issue fix and performance improvement.
61 Perform process audit and system audit for OEM/ODM and critical component suppliers such as PCB, PCBA, IC
61 Lead Failure Analysis and Corrective Action for any EE design, process, and component issues and implement preventive measures
61 Proactively seeks for cost and process optimization opportunities, propose design, component, process changes
61 Validate changes through product level functional testing
61 Collaborate with Quality team to validate reliability, regulatory, and sustainability compliance
61 Review ODM design change requests in the forms of schematic, PCB layout, BOM, and specifications
61 Conduct in-depth PCBA level DFM & DFA studies
61 Conduct manufacturing flow-chart review with special focus on in-line and burn-in test setup
61 Manage Electrical BOM and ECO updates through the use of Agile (PLM)
61 Support product builds for DVT and PVT all the way to formal implementation
61 Participate in supplier qualification and audit
61 Assist with documentation modification, including product specifications, work instructions, test plans and other documented attributes of the product.
61 Frequent travel to Southern China area required
61 Occasional travel to south east Asia countries required
61 Occasional travel to US required
61 Other assignment to the employ from the management.



Education and Experience Requirements:

61 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
61 8+ years related work experience in TWS, speaker, headset…etc
61 Have a solid theoretical basics of electroacoustic, rich in acoustic devices and ears acoustic knowledge
61 Strong subjective listening ability can evaluate the sound quality of headphones.
61 Familiar with Soundcheck, Audio Precision, can use the system to test related audio product
61 MFi experience highly desired (Made For iOS devices)
61 Understanding of EMI/EMC design principles and design products for compliance with agency approvals (FCC, UL, USB, MFi, etc.)
61 Design for safety and understanding of UL requirements
61 Good problem-solving skills especially in relation to trouble shooting thermal, EMC, signal integrity, and safety issues.
61 Strong data analysis skills, arriving at root cause and resolutions through robust data formulation
61 Advanced Schematic and PCB layout experience, Altium Designer experience preferred
61 Strong knowledge in PCB & PCBA manufacturing processes
61 Hands on experience in a fast paced and high quality manufacturing environment with a good working understanding of high volume manufacturing process is preferred.
61 Knowledge in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP - gage R&R, FAI, cpk, control plan)
61 Ability to manage new and unique situations with minimal supervision
61 Experience in working with cross-functional teams managing multiple projects concurrently
61 Strong planning, scheduling, and presentation skills
61 Experience in working with global teams, especially working with US counterparts, highly desired
61 Strong verbal and written English skills
61 Effective communication through well-organized reports
61 Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
61 Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience a must
